At the heart of the historic University of Colorado campus, this LEED Gold certified complex is the home of the Department of Art and Art History and the University Art Museum. The project expresses CU’s established style with a fresh interpretation to forge its own identity. In addition to a variety of studio spaces, from welding to ceramics to painting, the Arts Complex also features galleries and art storage areas designed to Smithsonian lending standards. The visual arts take precedence throughout the facility of this new building, from multi-media displays throughout classrooms and lobbies, ample exhibition halls, to large scale sculpture instillations.
