Services Planning, Architecture and Interior Design.

Originally constructed in the 1950s, this dramatic renovation transformed a battered kit house into a contemporary home with an expansive open floor plan, outdoor entertainment, and additional living spaces desired by a family of six. Locked into the footprint due to the expansive bedrock on the property, our design skillfully extended the floor plan to take advantage of the best views and to offer privacy for outdoor enjoyment. Modern amenities included a professionally equipped kitchen with a breakfast area, a separate pantry, an au-pair suite, and an acoustically insulated playroom zone. The exterior siding and roofing are naturally weathered, high-efficiency non-divided large windows fill the interiors with natural light, and the re-design site plan resolves stormwater run-off difficulties while offering privacy in the pool terrace.

Pool side backyard with flowering garden, lounge chairs and lush green lawn. Large windows on the south facing side of the house fill the residence with light.
