Founded by Hanna Przada, LYONSPLAIN is a boutique design firm that creates complete architecture, interior design and integrated branding solutions. We specialize in residential, hospitality and cultural environments. Our approach is driven by the contextual characteristics of each project while focusing on innovation, collaboration and well-being.  Our mission is to blur the boundaries between disciplines by cross-pollinating architectural expertise with interiors, art and lifestyle in order to create beautifully proportioned, detailed and well-executed spaces that bring lasting value for the individuals they serve.

LYONSPLAIN is known for our comprehensive and highly bespoke approach. We work across all sectors of design, from residential to commercial projects, which include hospitality projects such as hotels and restaurants. Our collaborative studio delivers the hand-on principal involvement of a small practice while providing the experience and capabilities of a much larger firm. We believe that the design is a process of continual growth, and we focus our efforts on studying the unique characteristics of the project as it evolves through a multi-disciplinary collaboration. From the technology standpoint, our team works in BIM software (Revit 2017) to take advantage of its 3-D design capabilities and seamless integration with project team and other consultants.

The best way for us to understand your objective needs is through in-depth discussion. Once our goals and objectives are established, we formulate a framework from which the design will emerge. We launch the process with an investigation of programmatic and functional requirements. We visit the site during the process and connect the information we are gathering with the site potential and restrictions. Preliminary designs are developed, considered, and refined in a collaborative process.

LYONSPLAIN believes that each project should be approached from a whole systems perspective, analyzing the characteristics of each site and its unique opportunities it presents. We consider energy, natural resources, personal and environmental health in every aspect of the decision-making process. Ultimately, the intention of designing this way is quite simply to create a place that works with your environment, rather than against. The result is a building that lives lightly on the land, consumes fewer resources, is comfortable and healthy, is easy to maintain, and can be enjoyed for very long time.
